Traditional Culture, Current Technology

Challenge

As part of a brand overhaul for the Montana-based electronics manufacturer S&K Electronics, Banik created a new identity and sales collateral system. As a technology company located in a non-technology corner of the world, it was important to reflect S&K’s expertise and the quality of its products. And as a company owned by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes, the client wanted the identity to reflect its Native American heritage. Our design focused simultaneously on S&K’s people and products, showcasing the pride their workers take in building reliable components used in defense, aerospace, and commercial applications. The design uses a refined color palette and inviting, colorful photos to achieve the difficult task of making electronic circuitry visually interesting. The inserts in the client’s sales kit outline the major divisions of the company and provide a clear starting point for sales pitches and customer reference.

Banik Solution

  • A new website was created to rebrand the company’s online presence in line with the new identity. We organized S&K’s corporate information in an uncluttered and easy-to-navigate system with the end user’s experience in mind, featuring the new corporate logo, colors, and imagery. www.skecorp.com.
  • Banik also produced trade show displays and presentation graphics for S&K’s use at industry shows and conferences—vital forums for making new business contacts and reinforcing the company’s reputation within its field.

Banik Results

Banik commissioned a two-day photo shoot which provided a large image library for use in the rebranding effort, including product shots, employee close-ups, facility interiors, fabrication lines, and a group shot of the entire company gathered in one of its assembly buildings.
