Our Story

It’s a cliché that advertising is frivolous and annoying and cynical, and like most clichés, there’s at least a germ of truth in it. Too often advertising merely fails to advocate, and at its worst becomes what Orwell called “the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket.” Shouldn’t we spend our lives doing more than that?

We think so. We think advertising really can be a force for good. Which is why so much of our work over the last two decades has been devoted to advocating for change through social marketing. Every year, we’re creating campaigns that challenge people to be safer and healthier. We’ve encouraged those around us to live longer by giving up cigarettes, to make it home alive by wearing their seat belts, to end the needless tragedy of drunk driving once and for all. The biggest ad budget in all the world can’t possibly do it alone, but smart, thoughtful campaigns can make a difference in people’s minds. And getting people to change their minds can lead them to change their futures for the better. And there’s nothing cynical, or annoying, or frivolous about that.

And that’s where we want to be.

A few quick facts:

• We’ve been in business since 1990.
• We’re 15 dedicated individuals with a common purpose.
• We live in the heart of Montana, and we love it.
• We’re employee-owned, so griping to the boss is always easy.
• Bigger isn’t always better, but better is always better.
